What a Huni Diary is
A diary on HuniWhisp is a running notebook: you create it once and add entries to it over days, months or years. You choose whether each diary is private, for your eyes only, or public, so other members can follow along.
The diaries listed here are the public ones their authors chose to share. Many members keep a private diary alongside, for the things they want to write down but not show anyone.
Keeping a diary going
Lower the bar until it is easy to clear. Two honest sentences on a tired night count as an entry, and they keep the habit alive better than waiting for the energy to write a page.
Write at the same point in your day, such as after dinner or on the bus home, so it becomes part of a routine instead of a decision.
Reread an old entry now and then. Seeing how much a "disaster" from three months ago has shrunk is one of the quiet rewards of keeping a diary.
Public or private?
Public diaries suit writing you are glad to share: a project log, a year of learning a language, a travel journal. Keep anything about other people, your location or your workplace vague, even when you are anonymous. If an entry feels too raw to share, a private diary is the right home for it.
How this space is kept safe
Every post can be reported, and reports are read by the HuniWhisp moderation team. Posts that break the community rules are removed, and repeated or serious breaks lead to restrictions or bans.
Some writing is only visible to signed-in members: posts by members under 18, posts in Huni Haven, our support space, and posts our safety system marks as being about crisis, abuse or self-harm. Members can still read and reply to them, but they never appear in search engines or to visitors who are not signed in. People should be able to write about the hardest parts of their lives without it following them around the internet.
